Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Global Stress Index ("the Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

The Global Stress Index is a geopolitical tension visualization tool that tracks real market data — commodities, country ETFs, currencies, and fear indicators — to generate a live heatmap of global stress. The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only.

3. No Professional Advice

The information provided does not constitute professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to military, security, investment, legal, or policy advice. The stress scores are derived from publicly available market data and statistical models (z-score analysis). They should not be used as the sole basis for any decision-making.

4. Accuracy and Limitations

While we strive to provide accurate and timely data, we make no warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or reliability. Market data is sourced from Yahoo Finance and may experience delays. Z-score calculations are based on 30-day rolling averages and may not capture all relevant dynamics. Past patterns do not guarantee future outcomes.

5. Data Sources

The Service aggregates publicly available market data from Yahoo Finance, including commodity futures, ETF prices, currency exchange rates, and volatility indices. We do not control these data sources and are not responsible for their availability or accuracy.

6. Intellectual Property

The Global Stress Index name, design, heatmap methodology, and scoring algorithms are intellectual property of the Service. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying algorithms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) violate applicable laws; (b) scrape or systematically download content without permission; (c) misrepresent outputs as official assessments; (d) use the Service to facilitate harmful activities.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE GLOBAL STRESS INDEX OR ITS CREATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
