Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Information We Collect

The Global Stress Index collects minimal data. We use basic analytics (page views, approximate location for regional traffic analysis) through standard web technologies. We do not collect personal information, require registration, or use tracking cookies for advertising.

2. How We Use Information

Any data collected is used solely to: (a) maintain and improve the Service; (b) understand aggregate usage patterns; (c) ensure service reliability and performance.

3. Data Sources

Market data displayed on the Service is sourced from Yahoo Finance's publicly available APIs. We do not store historical market data beyond what is needed for the current 30-day rolling calculation window.

4. Cookies

We use a single localStorage item to remember whether you've seen the welcome popup. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no cross-site tracking.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service is hosted on Vercel. Market data is fetched from Yahoo Finance. We may use Supabase for storing anonymized forecast snapshots. Each of these services has their own privacy policies.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect any data we process. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your Rights

Since we collect minimal data and do not maintain user accounts, there is little personal data to manage. If you have concerns about any data we may have collected, please contact us.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.

10. Contact

For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at contact@threatscope.net.
