Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 15, 2026

TL;DR

ThreatScope collects almost nothing. No personal data, no tracking, no cookies, no ads. We store a temporary anonymous session ID to count live viewers (auto-deleted in 2 minutes) and forecast model outputs (which contain zero user data). That's it.

1. Information We Collect

ThreatScope collects minimal data to operate the Service. We collect anonymous session identifiers to track the number of concurrent viewers on the platform. These session IDs are temporary, randomly generated, and cannot be used to identify individual users. We do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, IP addresses, or location data through the ThreatScope application itself.

2. How We Use Information

The anonymous session data we collect is used exclusively to display a live viewer count on the dashboard. Session records are automatically deleted within 2 minutes of a user leaving the site. We do not use this data for analytics, profiling, advertising, or any other purpose.

3. Data Storage

Session data is stored temporarily in a Supabase database. Forecast snapshots (the outputs of our forecasting model) are stored to maintain historical records and generate trend charts. These snapshots contain no user data — only aggregated risk scores and model outputs derived from public data sources.

4. Third-Party Services

ThreatScope uses the following third-party services that may have their own privacy policies: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Metaculus API (forecast data), Polymarket API (prediction market data), and GDELT (event data). We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services. We do not share any user data with these services — we only retrieve publicly available data from their APIs.

5. Cookies

ThreatScope does not set any first-party cookies. Third-party services used for hosting (Vercel) may set technical cookies necessary for the functioning of the website. Please refer to our Cookie Settings page for more details and options.

6. No Tracking or Advertising

ThreatScope does not use any analytics tracking tools, advertising pixels, social media trackers, or any other form of user tracking. We do not display advertisements. We do not sell, share, or distribute any user data to third parties.

7. Data Retention

Anonymous session data is automatically deleted within 2 minutes of inactivity. Forecast snapshot data (containing no personal information) is retained indefinitely for historical analysis purposes. If you believe any data related to you has been stored incorrectly, please contact us.

8. Children's Privacy

ThreatScope is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our Service, please contact us.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Since ThreatScope collects minimal anonymous data, there is typically no personal data to manage. If you have questions about your data rights, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of ThreatScope after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact
